DNA / Genealogy / Family Tree Research
BookLovers Publishing is on the hunt for some really interesting Genealogy/DNA/Family Search stories.
Have you or a friend found some new family members using DNA and have a unique story to tell?
We will be publishing a book on this topic in the next few months and need your stories!
Your story can be happy, sad, frustrating, or anywhere in between. Some of the specific topics we are looking for are below. You don't fit into one of these groups? That's okay, submit your story anyway:
People being rejected after contacting matches on one of the DNA sites.
Happy reunion stories.
Piercing adoption red tape.
Mothers lying about who the father of their child is.
Fathers finding out they have a grown child. Had no idea at all their child existed.
Siblings given up for adoption, but not all children.
Everyone knew who your birth father was and no one spilled the beans. Family secrets.
Product of soldier stationed overseas.
Black market babies.
Grandparents find out their son or daughter had a child and never told them. Put up for adoption.
Gave a baby to a friend or other person. No legal adoption ever done.
These are just a few examples!
Everything will be confidential, and identities/places changed for the privacy of all involved.
There will be no compensation paid to you, and you will not be asked to pay anything. This is strictly on a voluntary basis. Everyone that gets their story in the book will receive a free digital copy of the book once it is published.
If you are interested, please write up a summary of your experience. No more than one page in length. Email it to BookLoversPub@gmail.com. Put "DNA BOOK" in the subject line of the email. We receive a lot of submissions for many projects and this will ensure that your book goes to the correct department.
Please only submit true stories. You will be asked to sign a waiver if we decide to publish your story.
If your story is chosen, you will be asked to write us a more detailed description of your research and experience. We will use that as the base of the story and our author(s) will dramatize your story to make it enjoyable for the readers. Your basic story will not be changed.
Please feel free to pass this information along to anyone you know with an interesting DNA/Genealogy story.
Thanks, and we look forward to hearing from you!
